Job summary

Selorays is seeking a senior desalination engineer to lead design and implementation of seawater and brackish water treatment projects using RO, MSF, and MED technologies. You will develop P&IDs, process diagrams, and technical specifications while guiding pilot testing and commissioning.

The role emphasizes energy-efficient solutions, collaboration with environmental consultants, and vendor management within a multinational context. A strong PM and communication skillset is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in water treatment and desalination engineering.
• Expertise in RO, MSF, and MED technologies.
• Strong knowledge of water quality standards (WHO, EPA, local regulations).
• Experience with SCADA systems and process automation in water treatment plants.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Experience working in MENA region is highly preferred.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of seawater and brackish water desalination plants.
• Develop process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and technical specifications for water treatment systems.
• Oversee pilot testing, commissioning, and performance optimization of treatment facilities.
• Evaluate and implement membrane technologies, chemical treatment processes, and energy recovery systems.
• Collaborate with environmental consultants to ensure compliance with discharge and quality regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships for equipment procurement and system integration.
• Contribute to R&D initiatives focused on reducing the energy footprint of desalination.
