Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks an engineer to lead the LANSCE accelerator water team, managing technicians in maintenance, repair and improvements of cooling systems. Roles available at Engineer 2 or 3, depending on experience, with higher responsibilities at the senior level.

Engineer 2 oversees operation and maintenance; Engineer 3 adds design, analysis, and integration for new or enhanced water systems, with opportunities to lead upgrades at LANSCE.

Qualifications

• Ownership of safety and security of team operations; writing and editing IWDs.
• Understanding of cooling water systems and associated equipment.
• Ability to lead a team of technicians to safely execute work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians for operation and maintenance of LANSCE cooling water systems.
• Plan and schedule maintenance and repair activities; oversee upgrades and design work.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other groups with overlapping responsibilities.
