Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking an Engineering Systems Technician 3/4 to support the LANSCE Injectors team. You will work on electronic and high voltage equipment, with on-call after hours and weekends, and opportunities for growth in electronics training.

The role includes learning AC/DC systems, mechanical construction, wiring, PCB assembly, and basic fluid systems, while collaborating with scientists and engineers across the lab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field and 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, commissioning, and repairs of electrical/electronic equipment.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams or schematics from documentation, diagrams, rough sketches, layouts, and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise, support, and technical help for the LANSCE Injectors team operation.
• Maintain and upgrade various electronic and high voltage equipment.
• Assist with day-to-day operations and document maintenance, operation and tests.
