Job summary

Ramboll in Americas is seeking a Technical Manager, Water Infrastructure to lead design efforts for municipal and industrial clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will oversee project teams, perform design calculations, prepare construction plans, and participate in bid phase and business development activities.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, 8+ years of water/wastewater/stormwater design experience, and a VA/DC/MD PE license or ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure design.
• Proficiency in understanding Federal, State, and local environmental regulations.
• Knowledge of major national and industrial design codes, standards and best practices.
• Ability to obtain multiple PE licenses through reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical linear infrastructure designs and preparation of contract documents for municipal and industrial clients.
• Assisting in development of design concepts and criteria, analysis and constructability reviews.
• Preparation of detailed design calculations, reports, and construction plans with QA/QC and value engineering reviews.
• Performing bid phase and construction phase services.
• Supporting business development proposals, project estimating and planning.
• Coordination and mentoring of technical staff and oversight of project teams.
• Involvement in technical societies to stay current with standards and technologies.
