Kern County Water Agency in Sacramento seeks an experienced engineer and project leader to oversee infrastructure and energy initiatives within the State Water Project and Kern County facilities. The role involves coordinating with agencies and presenting findings to the Board.

You will collect and analyze data on water delivery, costs, and energy resources, supervise staff and consultants, and represent the Agency on committees and in meetings across agencies.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with applicable coursework.
• Valid California Class C or higher driver license.
• Five (5) years of increasing responsibility performing engineering, energy resources or planning-related functions; one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Mansioni

• Lead or coordinate activities related to the Agency’s infrastructure and energy interests in the State Water Project and Kern County facilities.
• Collect, monitor, review and analyze data on operations, infrastructure costs and water supply allocations.
• Analyze energy data and its impact on water supplies, operations and finances.
• Develop information and recommendations; prepare memoranda and reports; present to Board and management.
• Assist with or lead annual budget processes for cost centers and funds.
• Represent the Agency on committees and at meetings related to the State Water Project.
• Assist with developing or commenting on environmental documents and water plans/priorities.
• Monitor grant funding opportunities.
• Direct or lead the work of Agency staff and consultants.
• Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and seminars.
