The candidate should have five years of increasing responsibility in engineering or energy planning, including supervisory experience, and hold a bachelor's degree in engineering. A California driver license is required, location is Sacramento.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with applicable coursework.
• Five years of increasing responsibility performing engineering, energy resources or planning-related functions; one year of which in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, practices and techniques applicable to water facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to research, analyze findings and make recommendations on project management, budgeting and water management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate activities related to the Agency’s infrastructure and energy interests in the State Water Project and Kern County water-related facilities.
• Collect, monitor, review and analyze operational- and infrastructure-related data; interpret effects on water supply allocations and costs.
• Collect, monitor, review and analyze energy data; interpret effects on water supplies, operations and finances.
• Prepare memoranda and reports; present information to the Agency Board of Directors and management.
