Job summary

ServiceMaster TEAM in the DFW area is seeking a Lead Water Damage Restoration Technician. You will perform moisture mapping, set up drying systems, and conduct controlled demolition, while guiding junior technicians when the project manager is away.

You will work closely with project managers, document all readings and progress in our restoration software, and communicate with customers and insurance adjusters as needed. Strong emphasis on on-call availability and safety.

Qualifications

• IICRC WRT certification is required.
• 1–3 years in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery.
• Comfort and confidence talking with insurance adjusters is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform water mitigation work: moisture inspections, moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, and controlled demolition.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment.
• Decide on drying, containment, and deodorization strategies with Project Management.
• Oversee the technicians on your jobs and mentor newer techs when needed.
• Occasionally speak with adjusters to explain scope and moisture data and validate supplements.
• Document readings, equipment placement, progress, and photos in our restoration software.
• Communicate professionally with customers and mentor junior staff.

Lead Water Damage Restoration Technician

$18.50/hr + overtime

Want a hands-on role where your work and you're valued? ServiceMaster TEAM is hiring a Lead Water Damage Restoration Technician for our DFW mitigation team. You'll do the work yourself, from moisture mapping to drying setup to controlled demo. You'll also guide the technicians working alongside you when the project manager is away. We're a full-service restoration company, so you'll work directly with our project managers and help see a job through from the first call.

What you'll do

• Perform water mitigation work: moisture inspections, moisture mapping, psychrometric readings, and controlled demolition
• Set up, monitor, and adjust drying, filtration, and air scrubber equipment
• Decide on drying, containment, and deodorization strategies with Project Management
• Oversee the technicians on your jobs: guide their work and assist in holding them accountable
• Occasionally speak with adjusters, explaining the scope, moisture data, and progress, and helping validate scope and supplements
• Document readings, equipment placement, progress, and photos in our restoration software
• Communicate professionally with customers and mentor newer techs when needed

What you bring

• IICRC WRT certification
• 1–3 years in restoration, mitigation, or disaster recovery
• Comfort and confidence talking with insurance adjusters. Insurance-driven restoration experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong grasp of drying science, psychrometrics, and material behavior
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
• Available for an on-call rotation (required)

Nice to have:

• ASD or other IICRC certifications, and experience with restoration documentation and job management software.
