Job summary

1-800 Water Damage is seeking a Lead Technician for Water Damage Restoration with Xactimate experience to manage and execute projects across the East Bay. You will lead a team, assess damage, perform restoration work, and prepare detailed estimates for insurance claims.

The ideal candidate has Xactimate proficiency, IICRC WRT certification, and strong leadership, communication, and safety discipline. This on-site role requires field work, occasional evenings, weekends, and travel as needed in

Qualifications

• Proven experience in water damage restoration and mitigation.
• Certification in water damage restoration (IICRC WRT certification required, other IICRC certification is highly favorable).
• Proficiency in using MICA (Mobile Integrated Claims Application) or other job documentation software for moisture mapping, drying logs, and reporting.
• Proficiency in Xactimate software for estimating.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of water damage restoration equipment and techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding and sometimes adverse conditions.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Oversee and manage water damage restoration projects from inception to completion.
• Xactimate Expertise: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for restoration projects.
• Team Leadership: Guide a team of restoration technicians; assign tasks and monitor progress.
• Damage Assessment: Assess water damage and plan restoration strategies.
• Mitigation and Remediation: Lead water extraction, drying, mold remediation, and related tasks.
• Equipment Management: Maintain restoration equipment in good condition.
• Documentation: Keep detailed records and generation of Xactimate estimates.
• Client Communication: Update clients and insurers on progress and needs.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on site.
• Quality Control: Ensure work meets industry standards.
