Job summary

Certified Restoration Mission is San Diego's leading disaster restoration company, with 30+ years of experience and IICRC certification. We are seeking a Water Damage Restoration Technician to lead on-site crews, manage documentation, and serve as the primary customer contact during stressful moments.

The role offers a clear path from technician to project leader, with opportunities for advancement and ongoing training. Must have at least 1 year in restoration and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of water damage restoration experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional appearance and on-site demeanor.
• Ability to work in fire, smoke, and water-damaged environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation situations: water, fire, flood, mold, and more.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, board-up, and full restoration tasks.
• Demolish and remove drywall, carpet, insulation, and other damaged materials.
• Prepare properties for mold remediation clearance testing.
• Coordinate with testing companies, abatement contractors, and pack-out vendors.
• Serve as the primary on-site customer contact — calm, professional, solution-focused.
• Complete daily scope sheets, upload job photos, and maintain thorough project documentation.
• Oversee and direct a team of restoration technicians.
• Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained and organized.
