Job summary

Wright-Pierce, an award-winning environmental engineering firm, seeks a licensed Lead Wastewater Project Engineer to join our team. This senior role offers leadership on wastewater and civil infrastructure projects, including mentoring staff and coordinating multi-disciplinary efforts.

Salary range is $95,000 - $160,000/yr with final pay based on education, experience, certifications, and location. Office locations include Portland, ME, among others, with a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in wastewater/environmental engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proven ability to manage mid-size projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to diect and coordinate water and wastewater projects.
• Perform portions of large, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Provide technical responsibility for project execution and coordination.
• Identify opportunities to raise standards and service delivery.
• Manage and mentor staff; oversee investigations and analyses.

Salary range is $95,000 - $160,000/yr.

NOTE: Final salary is based on education, experience, certifications, and location.

Responsibilities

• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Perform portions of large or complex multi-disciplinary projects
• Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating small to mid-size water and wastewater projects
• Identify opportunities to enhance organization’s standards and delivery of services
• Manage and mentor staff
• Perform research assignments
