Job summary

The Village of Roselle, Illinois seeks a Lead Wastewater Operator for the Public Works Department. The role oversees crews and performs technical work on wastewater facilities, lift stations and sanitary collection systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a CDL with training provided, and a Class II license with a preference for Class III/IV. At least five years in wastewater operations or related fields is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license with the ability to obtain within 6 months; CDL training provided.
• At least 5 years of wastewater treatment/collection system or related experience.
• Class II wastewater license required; Class III/IV desired.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and adjust the wastewater treatment process in accordance with all applicable laws and EPA regulations.
• Maintain, inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves and other systems throughout the treatment plant.
• Perform construction and maintenance tasks such as snow and ice removal, and work on sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and water mains.
