Job summary

The Village of Roselle, Illinois, seeks a full-time Lead Wastewater Operator in the Public Works Department. You will oversee crews and perform technical work at wastewater facilities, lift stations and sanitary collection systems.

Ideal candidates have at least five years of wastewater operation experience, a Class II/III/IV certificate, and a CDL or ability to obtain one within six months. The role offers union benefits and comprehensive city-provided benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of experience in wastewater treatment operations and/or sanitary collection systems.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and regulatory requirements for municipal wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate and adjust wastewater treatment processes to comply with laws and EPA regulations.
• Maintain, inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves and other treatment plant equipment.
• Operate lift stations and sanitary collection systems; support related construction tasks.
• Perform snow and ice removal and other general Public Works duties.
