Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Lift Station Supervisor in Jackson, MS to oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of city-owned wastewater lift stations. You will lead a team, manage schedules, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all field activities.

The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in pumps and motors, and the ability to read blueprints and coordinate with city staff and project management. On-call rotation and travel to client sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience at a supervisory level.
• Experience in repairing, replacing, or maintaining lift station equipment.
• Supervision, training, safety principles, and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Proficient with computer software including MS Office and Maintenance Connection.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and directs maintenance of a wide variety of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Assigns, coordinates and supervises personnel and materials for lift station maintenance and repair.
• Estimates cost and time for maintenance, repair and construction work on lift stations.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and communicates actions to client or project management.
• Develops training modules and schedules for staff needs.
• Reads blueprints, drawings, and plans to guide staff work.
• Performs skilled mechanical repair work on lift stations (submersible, deep-can, high prime).
• Maintains records and reports on projects; supports safety regulations and procedures.
