Job summary

City of Spring Hill in Tennessee seeks a Wastewater Collections Maintenance Worker III to perform advanced journey-level work on the City’s wastewater collection system and facilities. You will inspect, clean, repair, and construct mains, laterals, lift stations, and related infrastructure under limited supervision, evaluating field conditions and estimating resources required for tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in wastewater collection system maintenance, utility construction, underground infrastructure repair, equipment operation, or closely related work.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform skilled maintenance, cleaning, inspection, construction, and repair work on sanitary sewer mains, service laterals, manholes, cleanouts, lift stations, easements, outfall lines, and related infrastructure.
Clean and rod sewer mains and laterals to remove obstructions; operate vacuum and jetting equipment to remove debris.
Perform excavation, trenching, shoring, pipe installation/repair, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and site restoration.
Identify blockages, leaks, and other defects affecting system operation.
Assist with wastewater spill and sanitary sewer overflow response as directed.
