Job summary

Mecklenburg County’s LUESA division seeks a dynamic operations professional to oversee and manage MRF operations at the Pence Road facility, with duties at Amble Drive and Pine Grove Circle. Qualifications

• Minimum of six years of directly related experience, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Associate degree required; combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Monitor budget and operating metrics; diagnose and improve processes.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and related standards.
• Conduct root-cause investigations for injuries/incidents; follow up with discipline and retraining.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, disciplining, and training; input on promotions/compensation.
• Coordinate with other agencies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Lead maintenance and safety meetings; supervise staff in heavy equipment operation.
