Job summary

KPI Solutions is hiring a Software Deployment Engineer I/II to lead end-to-end deployment of Kommand warehouse systems, combining software commissioning with hardware installation across on-site and remote phases. The role expects independent ownership from configuration to live troubleshooting and customer sign-off, with after-hours support and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience commissioning warehouse execution/control software and hardware peripherals.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server-based environments, including SSDT schema comparison and version control.
• Experience with formal software testing methodology (IQ/UAT) and customer sign-off processes.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve live production issues under time pressure.
• Willingness to work after hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills during upgrades, go-live support, and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead software commissioning of Kommand and peripheral hardware systems at customer sites; act as primary technical owner.
• Own full-scope installation of pick-to-light and overhead illumination systems with end-to-end responsibility.
• Perform IQ/UAT after installation, with formal test documentation and customer sign-off.
• Deliver new Kommand installations and upgrades remotely; coordinate with customers during testing and go-live.
• Provide post-go-live project support, including system migrations and ERP/WMS integration testing.
