Job summary

Havertys Distribution Team seeks a capable lead to oversee daily shipping operations in our Alabama facility. You will guide staff, ensure on-time delivery readiness, and maintain quality standards while handling furniture through the MDC system.

The role requires physical endurance, teamwork, and adherence to safety programs, with opportunities for career growth and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 150 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout shift.
• Must pass criminal background check, lifting assessment and drug test.
• Experience in warehouse supervision or lead roles is a plus.
• Willingness to complete company safety programs and wear Havertys-provided PPE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare furniture for delivery and review To Do List by route.
• Direct team with the shipping supervisor to meet productivity standards.
• Use MDC to track delivery exceptions and update workflow.
• Unwrap and inspect furniture for defects before loading.
• Maintain organized chutes and production quality goals.
• Document and photograph MDC To Do List items as needed.
