Job summary

OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Package Handler Lead in Richmond, VA. This role oversees offloading, loading, and sorting of packages and collaborates with Area and Operations Managers to train new hires and monitor performance.

The position offers a Tuesday-Saturday shift from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM, starting at $18.00 per hour, with comprehensive benefits including health coverage, a 401(k) match, paid time off, and an employee assistance program.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required (preferred).
• 1 year of industry experience required.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Regularly lift, push, pull 25–35 lbs; up to 50 lbs occasionally; up to 150 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
• Train and guide Package Handlers with hands-on demonstrations and feedback.
• Oversee handling, sorting, and inspection to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
• Monitor equipment, submit maintenance requests, and manage damaged freight per procedures.
• Check in/out third-party drivers and verify credentials and manifest accuracy.
