Job summary

OnTrac in Romeoville, IL is hiring a Package Handler to support safe, efficient warehouse operations. You will train teammates, oversee packing, sorting and inspection, and help maintain accurate documentation for shipments.

The role requires at least 1 year of industry experience, a high school diploma or GED, and basic English proficiency to follow safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of industry experience.
• At least 18 years old and basic English proficiency required.
• Must be able to regularly lift 25–35 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, with occasional pushes up to 150 lbs using a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols.
• Train and guide Package Handlers with hands-on demonstrations and feedback.
• Oversee package handling, sorting and inspection to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
• Monitor equipment functionality, submit maintenance requests, and manage damaged freight per procedures.
• Check in/out third-party drivers, verify credentials and ensure proper documentation.
