Job summary

OnTrac is seeking a Warehouse Package Handler Lead at our Mount Prospect, IL facility. You will supervise the offloading, loading, and sorting of packages, training new hires and supporting key performance metrics for a fast-paced operation.

You will ensure safe practices, oversee shipments, and coordinate with area/ops managers. The role requires 1 year of industry and leadership experience, with benefits and a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of industry experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols.
• Train and guide Package Handlers, providing hands-on demonstrations and ongoing performance feedback.
• Oversee package handling, sorting, and inspection processes to ensure accuracy, prevent damage, and avoid misroutes.
• Monitor equipment functionality and submit maintenance requests.
• Check in/out third-party drivers, verify credentials, and ensure proper documentation and manifest accuracy.
• Oversee dock operations, loading/unloading and related processes.
