Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Rio Rancho, NM, is seeking a Warehouse Operator Specialist, Team Lead to coordinate a designated team in daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe handling of goods.

This role reports to the Supervisor or Manager and focuses on productivity, safety compliance, training, and continuous improvement, with an emphasis on communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
• 2-3 years forklift experience.
• Current or prior MHE certification.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of warehouse associates in daily operations.
• Assign and monitor work to ensure productivity and safety.
• Load orders accurately onto doors and trailers.
• Research discrepancies in shipping/receiving processes.
• Train new/existing associates on SOPs (shipping, receiving, picking, quality).
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members.
• Assist with problem-solving and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure proper use of equipment and PPE; follow safety policies.
• Perform regular quality and inventory checks; minimize errors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-shift communication.
