Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Houston is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to supervise daily warehouse operations, guide staff, and ensure safe, timely receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The role requires leadership, communication, and attention to safety.

You will coordinate with transportation and customer service, drive process improvements, and maintain accurate inventory while mentoring warehouse personnel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse personnel, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods and materials, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and standards are followed, and that all employees are trained on safe operating procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to inventory, equipment, or personnel.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g. transportation, customer service) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
