About The Job

The Warehouse Lead Operator is responsible for managing warehouse and office operations safely, under the direction of the Manager, Warehousing. You will oversee warehouse activities in the manager's absence.

In This Role, You Will

• Monitor and manage warehouse staff to ensure safety and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
• Assist in daily warehouse operations like crane and forklift operation, product inspection, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
• Complete customer service and shipping responsibilities as assigned, including creating reports, managing inventory, answering calls, scheduling shipments, and verifying deliveries.
• Maintain equipment safety and compliance through regular inspections.
• Train and cross-train staff, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
• Audit warehouse procedures and implement improvements.
• Follow safety guidelines during loading/unloading and manage inventory accuracy.
• Document incidents and communicate with drivers and management.
• Ensure safety and proper storage of inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Complete daily paperwork and participate in meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including backup responsibilities and participation in safety and company events.

Qualifications

We value diverse experiences and encourage applicants who meet most of the requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with forklifts, cranes, RFID scanners, and metal cutting devices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, typing at least 35 WPM.
• Experience with AS400 systems and OSHA regulations is preferred.
