Job summary

STIHL Inc. is seeking a Lead Warehouse Support to oversee warehouse operations and guide staff in daily activities. The role requires coordinating order downloads in the ERP system, enforcing safety practices, and ensuring accurate handling of shipments and customer pickups.

The position emphasizes supervision, cycle counts, and cross-training, with a strong focus on reliability and process improvements within our Connecticut facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Valid forklift license required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the facility for Warehouse Support team; secure entryways at day-end.
• Manage hourly order downloads in the ERP system and adjust assignments based on volume.
• Ensure team compliance with safety and efficiency best practices.
• Oversee shipping procedures: selection, packaging, and loading of transit vessels.
• Coordinate day-end closeout, shipping manifests, and quarterly cycle counts.
• Provide cross-training and supervision for Warehouse Support personnel.
• Greet customers and maintain accurate records of customer pick-ups.
