Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for a 1st Shift (Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30pm) in Mississippi. You will oversee multiple areas to keep operations running smoothly, lead staff, and ensure customer commitments are met with high quality and safety standards.

You’ll guide supervisors on personnel, quality and safety while driving continuous improvement and maintaining records and reports in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Demonstrate an understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
• Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with OSHA and other standards.
