Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Operations to lead multiple operations in a fast-paced 1st shift environment. You will oversee staffing, safety, quality and process improvements across the warehouse, coordinating with customers and vendors to meet commitments.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20% as needed. This position is based on-site in Wyandotte, MI and supports a 24/7 operation with flexibility for weekends.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scanner equipment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field.
• 4+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
• Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge.
• Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and statistical analysis skills.
• Travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, vendors and team members to ensure customer commitments are met.
• Demonstrate an understanding of GXO’s quality policies; establish procedures for maintaining quality objectives.
• Provide guidance to supervisors with respect to personnel, quality and safety.
• Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively.
• Make recommendations on programs to improve operations.
• Handle equipment and coordinate all maintenance needs with the maintenance team.
• Ensure records are maintained appropriately and reports are completed in a timely manner.
• Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices, ensuring the warehouse is compliant with OSHA and other pertinent standards/regulations.
