Job summary

E2 Optics in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Materials Handler to manage loading, unloading, inventory, and material flow on onsite warehouses and job sites. You will mentor warehouse staff, coordinate with Logistics, support Lean initiatives, ensure safety, and maintain accurate records while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in materials handling, warehouse operation, or logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold safety and core values in warehouse operations.
• Efficiently load, unload, and transport materials using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and update inventory systems.
• Coordinate with logistics to fulfill material requests and anticipate shortages.
• Mentor and lead warehouse staff and train new team members.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure accurate shipment packing, labeling, and documentation.
• Develop inventory metrics and reporting for efficiency.
