Job summary

Actalent in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale warehouse and industrial construction projects, typically around $30 million in value. You will drive preconstruction through completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality, while building strong relationships with owners and architects.

The role requires at least 5+ years in project management on commercial construction, with experience in warehouse projects, and proficiency with Procore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects.
• Experience leading large warehouse/industrial projects (≥ $15M).
• Strong budgeting, cost control, and scheduling abilities.
• Proficient with Procore or similar construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage warehouse and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Oversee construction to ensure plans, specs, and contracts are followed.
• Lead preconstruction activities including estimating and bid preparation.
• Coordinate design-build efforts with design teams.
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, and vendor negotiations.
• Monitor budgets and costs to meet project objectives and profitability.
• Create and update detailed construction schedules.
• Conduct weekly OAC meetings and site visits to monitor progress.
• Identify issues affecting schedule, cost, or quality and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with field teams for safety and productivity.
• Prepare project status updates for stakeholders.
