Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking a lead warehouse associate in North Little Rock, AR. The role supports and supervises regular and temporary warehouse staff, coordinates with Operations Supervisors, and ensures productivity expectations are met.

You will train new hires, oversee onboarding, stage and unload shipments, and maintain accurate records. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient warehouse operations with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 4 years of warehouse experience required
• Minimum 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years as a lead warehouse experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior forklift certification preferred
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred
• Ability to learn and use proprietary software required
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions
• Ability to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.

Responsibilities

• Various office and administrative duties, including primary trainer for the shift
• Responsible for all new hire onboarding and training
• Stage and sort products for loading
• Loads and unloads trailers
• Provide process and project visibility to Operations Supervisor
• Lead warehouse functions
• Promote safety and wellbeing on the shift
• Open and close dock doors
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Sort and store items in racks or designated areas
• Record units handled using production sheets
• Assemble product containers and crates with tools
• Pack containers and re-pack damaged containers
• Read orders to determine items to move or distribute
• Sort/store perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
• Weigh or count items for distribution
• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move stored items
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
