Job summary

J&B Installations, Inc, a leading commercial roofing contractor in New York State, is hiring for a Warehouse Associate to manage storage, organization, and distribution of materials for roofing projects across the Central New York area.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in inventory, loading/unloading, and operating forklifts/pallet jacks while supporting a fast-paced construction environment. Competitive starting pay and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or construction-related environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of commercial roofing materials and equipment is preferred.
• Must be available to work overtime and occasional Saturdays during peak season.
• Valid Drivers License
• OSHA 10 preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
• Communicating errors to relevant parties.
• Marking and labeling stock.
• General labor including taking out trash and landscaping.
• Loading and wrapping stock and equipment on pallets.
• Building loads with forklift and pallet jack.

We are family owned and operated and have been the leading commercial roofing company in New York State for over 40 years. J&B Installations is located in Skaneateles Falls, NY with jobs located throughout the greater Central New York area.

This position is responsible for managing the warehouse operations, ensuring materials and equipment are properly stored, organized, and distributed for commercial roofing projects, as well as managing inventory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with inventory management software or systems.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
