Pay range: $22.55 - $31.94 per hour (includes shift differential)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution, including warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, inventory management, and demand, supply, and manufacturing planning.

Warehouse Operations performs manual or automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, and storage. It ensures the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment to internal and external customers.

Job Summary

The Lead Associate, Warehouse Operations, supports the Warehouse Supervisor by managing inbound or outbound warehouse activities, directing staff, coordinating shipments, scheduling trucks, and delegating work. The role involves producing productivity reports, communicating with customers about disruptions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Follow SOPs to assess inventory, submit orders, and audit operations.
  • Direct workflows including packing, unloading, receiving, shipping, and managing delivery schedules.
  • Analyze data to evaluate productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse Supervisors to align on priorities.
  • Forecast workload using historical data for optimal labor utilization.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles for process improvement.
  • Assist in inventory management, stocking, and shipping as needed.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years experience in warehouse operations; management systems preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (Reach Truck, stand-up counterbalance) preferred.
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
