Job summary

Amazon in San Mateo, CA is hiring a Lead Associate to support our fastest delivery operation and enhance the customer shopping experience. The role requires open availability seven days a week and flexibility to work at sites within 10 miles of the primary Operations site.

You will lead, train, and motivate the team, manage safety, quality, and delivery performance, and collaborate with associates and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, motivate, and model desired behavior for the rest of the team.
• Manage operational processes, safety, quality, performance, and customer delivery promises following guidance and act as main support at assigned site.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized workspace.
• Provide ongoing training on system and equipment knowledge, quality training, and general operations.
• Provide feedback on processes and standards, assisting associates and peers in solving issues and ensuring proper breaks and lunches.
• Open and close the site following proper procedures.
• Handle a wide assortment of products including produce, meat, seafood, and alcoholic beverages.
• Receive truck deliveries and collaborate with associates and delivery partners to ensure smooth operations.
