Job summary

Shutterfly in Plano, TX is seeking a warehouse trainer and operator to support inbound materials, inventory accuracy, and smooth production flow.

You will train operators on tasks, enforce standard procedures, conduct daily equipment checks, and collaborate with ERP, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and EH&S to test new processes and measure outcomes, with adaptability in a fast-changing warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ability to train other operators on standard procedures.
• Proficiency with Excel and Visio for process documentation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Receipt and processing of inbound material.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and safe storage of stock.
• Ensure internal customers have stock to avoid workflow interruptions.
• Perform inventory counts using current measurement techniques.
• Operate warehouse equipment to complete tasks.
• Daily pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Support security and HIPAA compliance in warehouse operations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
• Keep warehouse neat, clean, and hazard-free.
• File daily activity records (electronic and manual).
• Identify damaged or out-of-spec material and process per protocols.
• Troubleshoot warehouse functions and manifest processes with relevant teams.
• Main trainer for operators on assigned tasks.
• Ensure transactional functions are performed correctly.
• Collaborate with production to set up supermarkets accurately; maintain setup files.

2nd: Thursday-Saturday 5pm-5am (Sundays as needed)

Pay Rate: $21/hr. + $1 shift differential

This position requires an ability to train all warehouse operators to the practices and processes as set by Shutterfly and the Warehouse manager. At this position there is also a requirement to engage in discussions and trials to create new and/or improved processes in an ever changing warehouse environment. Be able to use tools available to develop and measure success rate of new processes.

Essential Functions

• Receipt and processing of all inbound material
• Maintain all inventory within warehousing safely and accurately
• Ensure that all internal customers maintain stock levels to ensure work flow is not disrupted
• Perform inventory counts at a designated accuracy rating based on current measurement techniques
• Operate all warehouse equipment necessary to perform all required tasks
• Perform daily Pre-Operational checks on all equipment utilized by warehousing personnel
• Assist in providing necessary security within the warehouse (HIPPA regulations and unauthorized access)
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable
• Maintain warehouse in a neat, clean, orderly, and hazard free manner
• Electronic and manual filing of daily activity records
• Identify damaged or "out of specification" material and process through established protocols
• Troubleshoot problems with all warehouse functions and manifest process and bring them to the appropriate parties concerned

• Basic nesting of formulae
• Has a larger repertoire of formulae than a basic user
• Can use the online help to expand their knowledge - this is a crucial point
• Understands basic WHAT- IF functions
• Use of Visio or comparable program
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., mobility to crouch, reach, bend, and do repetitive actions with hands and arms
• Maintain confidentiality and strict compliance with the company's security policy related to potential access to sensitive information
