Job summary

White Cap in Greer, SC is seeking a Lead Warehouse Associate to oversee daily warehouse operations and guide junior staff. You will safely operate a forklift, manage goods flow, and ensure accurate receiving, packing, and shipping to customers.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, compliance with safety standards, and adaptability to indoor or yard work, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations or similar.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes: receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping.

Responsibilities

• Coaches and trains junior warehouse associates on proper process and procedure.
• Safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise.
• Picks, packs, and ships products to customers.
• Receives, counts, and records shipment information in the system.
• May work inside the warehouse or outside in the yard.
• Lifts and carries material up to 50 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Warehouse Associate at White Cap…

• Coaches and trains junior warehouse associates on proper process and procedure.
• Safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise.
• Picks, packs, and ships products to customers.
• Receives, counts, and records shipment information into the system.
• May work inside the warehouse or outside in the yard.
• Lifts and carries material up to 50 pounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 5-7 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely; certification preferred
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and material handling processes
• Proven ability to train, coach, and support associates while promoting safety, productivity, and operational excellence
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, RF scanners, or other computer-based warehouse tools
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy, order quality, and workplace safety
• Ability to troubleshoot operational issues, prioritize workload, and support daily warehouse activities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of construction, industrial, or building material products and familiarity with hand and power tools
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus
