Job summary

Office of Information Technology in Augusta, Maine, is seeking a Vulnerability Management Team Lead to provide operational leadership and technical direction for the enterprise vulnerability management and application testing program.

You will guide vulnerability identification, validation, prioritization, remediation coordination, and testing across state systems, cloud services, and enterprise assets, collaborating with SOC, ISO teams, and vendors to improve cybersecurity risk visibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of combined post-secondary education, certifications, or related work experience.
• Experience administering vulnerability management or application testing platforms.
• Ability to lead, coordinate, and communicate across technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Vulnerability Management Operations: prioritize work, coordinate coverage, and ensure timely completion.
• Oversee Enterprise Vulnerability Management: identify, validate, prioritize, and report across State systems and assets.
• Lead Application Security Testing: coordinate testing intake, analysis, and remediation recommendations.
• Administer security testing platforms: configure and improve tooling for reliable scanning and reporting.
• Develop dashboards and metrics: create KPIs, KRIs, executive summaries, and trend analyses.
• Coordinate remediation activities with application/infrastructure teams and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to ISO leadership, vendors, and teams.
• Support security initiatives: contribute to secure software development improvements and documentation.
