Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a cybersecurity professional to join its Technology Services Group in a hands-on role focused on vulnerability and exposure management. You will operate Qualys VMDR, Wiz, and Tanium, drive remediation with SLAs, and work with IT to reduce high-risk exposures across Windows, Linux, multi-cloud workloads, and containers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, or closely related security operations.
• Deep understanding of vulnerability management lifecycle, risk-based remediation, and SLA governance across large environments.
• Direct hands-on experience operating Qualys VMDR, Wiz, and Tanium including deployment, configuration, tuning, integration, and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience running or materially contributing to a Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) program.
• Strong reporting and analytical capabilities with Excel, pivottables, and security tool reporting.
• Experience securing complex environments spanning Windows, Linux, network devices, endpoints, containers, and multi-cloud workloads.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence sources and correlating external threats with internal findings.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for stakeholders and leadership.
• Advanced English proficiency for professional/technical environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and administer core exposure management tools (Qualys VMDR, Wiz, Tanium) including deployment and health monitoring.
• Establish and enforce remediation SLAs with IT, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with threat intelligence teams to connect emerging threats with internal findings.
• Develop automated dashboards and reporting on vulnerability exposure, scan coverage, remediation progress, and SLA adherence.
• Mentor junior analysts and establish triage/reporting standards.
• Provide recommendations on secure configurations, system hardening, and overall vulnerability program maturity.
