Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC seeks an experienced Lead Voice Engineer to support Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) on-site at Joint Base Andrews, MD. You will manage Cisco VoIP infrastructure and Tier 2 voice operations for critical DoD missions within the EACN and related gateways.

The role requires US citizenship with TS/SCI clearance, CCNA, and DoD experience, plus familiarity with Cisco VoIP, SIP, and SolarWinds tools. On-site, full-time position with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US citizen with TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree; 8 years in the discipline; 5 years DoD experience.
• Preferred: SolarWinds software suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to SLC3S-A Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, AF GSC’s E-4B NAOC, and US Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Administer Cisco VoIP systems including Call Manager, Unity, IM&P, and Teleconference bridges; maintain SBCs and SIP devices.
• Manage Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and connections to external voice networks (SIP/Asterisk).
• Collaborate with SIL, GSOC, and customer teams to ensure secure, reliable voice services.

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Voice Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2’s) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in Andrews, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command’s (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Administer Cisco VoIP system to include call manager, Cisco Unity, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference bridges. Contractor shall maintain Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, Ribbon VX 900 devices, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect system to external voice systems.
• Administer SIP connections between the EACN VoIP network and other customer networks, including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), and other Cisco VoIP networks.
