Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) on JBLM, McChord, WA. This on-site, full-time role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include Tier 1 network support for airborne and ground systems, coordination with users, and administration tasks on Microsoft Active Directory, with SolarWinds monitoring to aid troubleshooting. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce qualifications.
• CompTIA Network+ certification.
• High School Diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Seven years of directly related experience; SolarWinds experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 1 support for SLC3S-A, MAF, AF GSC E-4B/NAOC, Navy E-6B.
• Support EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2) and SIL/GSOC tasks.
• Coordinate network requirements with users and sites; perform AD administration.
• Operate SolarWinds and other govt-suite tools to aid troubleshooting.
• Comply with AFNOC, NOD, 26th NOG Det 2 and NSD/AFCERT directives.

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for aNetwork Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2’s) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at JointBase Lewis-McChord (JBLM), in McChord, WA.

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 1 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command’s (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Provide Network Tier 1 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Coordinate network requirements with users and sites and perform system administration tasks on Microsoft Active Directory networks.
• Operate Government-furnished equipment software suites (i.e., SolarWinds) to provide real-time usable statistics to aid with troubleshooting.
• Comply with and support the Air Force Network Operations Center (AFNOC), Network Operations Division (NOD), 26th Network Operations Group (NOG), Detachment 2, and the AFNOC Network Security Division (NSD), AF Computer Response Team (AFCERT).
