Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC seeks a Lead Voice Engineer for on-site support at Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Andrews, MD. The role supports EACN for high-priority U.S. Government missions via multiple A2G2 gateways, working in a Systems Integration Lab environment.

Responsibilities include Tier 2 voice engineering for SLC3S-A and NAOC-related operations, SIP/Cisco VoIP administration, and inter-network SIP bridging. On-site, full-time, contingent upon contract award, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US; TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Qualification & Management.
• CCNA certification required.
• Bachelor's Degree; 8+ years DoD experience (5+ in DoD).
• Master's Degree preferred; 6+ years DoD experience.
• SolarWinds experience.
• Experience with SIP, Cisco VoIP, and SRST.

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to SLC3S-A Operations, MAF Operations, AF-GSC E-4B/NAOC, and US Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Support EACN A2G2s, SIL, and GSOC.
• Administer Cisco VoIP system: call manager, Unity, IM&P, and teleconference bridges.
• Maintain Cisco UCS elements, Session Border Controllers, Ribbon VX 900 devices, and SIP connections.
• Manage SIP connections to Asterisk and other Cisco VoIP networks.

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Lead Voice Engineer to provide support for the Executive Airlift Communications Network (EACN) support task order, which provides Command, Control, Communications (C3) services for multiple critical U.S. Government missions via multiple Air to Global Information Grid (GIG) Gateways (A2G2’s) supported by a Systems Integration Lab (SIL).

This is a full-time position located on-site at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in Andrews, MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations, Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Operations, Air Force Global Strike Command’s (AFGSC) E-4B aircraft, also known as the National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), and U.S. Navy E-6B Mercury aircraft.
• Provide Voice Engineer Tier 2 support to EACN Air to GIG Gateways (A2G2s), EACN Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), and the Government Security Operations Center (GSOC).
• Administer Cisco VoIP system to include call manager, Cisco Unity, Instant Message and Presence, and Teleconference bridges. Contractor shall maintain Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, Ribbon VX 900 devices, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect system to external voice systems.
• Administer SIP connections between the EACN VoIP network and other customer networks, including Asterisk networks, Call Manager Express, Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST), and other Cisco VoIP networks.

Minimum Experience:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Education:Bachelor's DegreeEight (8) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
