Job summary

Riot Games is seeking a Manager, Visual Design for Teamfight Tactics. You will oversee a team of Visual Designers, setting craft standards and guiding UI strategy for TFT gameplay experiences.

You will partner with Producers, Engineers, Artists, and Designers to deliver player-focused UI across multiple workstreams. You will coach, develop, and advocate for your team, translating the broader vision into concrete design goals while ensuring quality and consistency in Unreal-based UI

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in UI or Visual Design for games.
• Experience leading and developing Visual Designers.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating contemporary graphic and interface design.
• Solid understanding of 2D art fundamentals: composition, color, value, hierarchy, legibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of Visual Designers, providing regular feedback and growth opportunities.
• Uphold the visual design quality bar for Gameplay UI and ensure alignment with TFT direction.
• Provide craft direction from exploration to final implementation across UI systems.
• Guide evolution of UI visual styles supporting new gameplay experiences.
• Collaborate with UX Designers, Artists, Motion Designers, Engineers, and Producers on player-focused UI solutions.
• Plan and scope Visual Design work with Production, balancing priorities and team capacity.
