Job summary

MassCA is seeking a High School Special Education Team Chair for a 1-year position in Foxborough, MA. The role leads the Special Education Department, coordinates evaluations, eligibility determinations, IEP development, and service delivery to ensure FAPE in the least restrictive environment.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Special Education or related field.
Massachusetts licensure in Special Education.
Experience leading IEP meetings and compliance with IDEA/504/FERPA.

Responsibilities

Chair IEP Team meetings and coordinate evaluations.
Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, FERPA and MA regulations.
Monitor evaluation timelines, annual reviews, progress reports, and IEP implementation.
Review and approve evaluation reports, eligibility determinations, IEPs and related documents.
Support staff in developing legally compliant and educationally meaningful IEPs.
Maintain systems for tracking evaluations and timelines.
Collaborate with families, schools, and districts to ensure FAPE.
