Job summary
Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead and support our specialty technical teams in a 24/7 Emergency + Specialty hospital. You will oversee training, performance, scheduling, and consistency across specialty departments, serving as the primary contact for technical staff needs.
As a full-time leader reporting to the Hospital Administrator, you will partner with administrative leadership to ensure best practices, quality control, and responsive care
Qualifications
- Lead or supervisory experience in a veterinary setting.
- Strong leadership and accountability skills.
- Highly organized with ability to multitask in a 24/7 hospital.
Responsibilities
- Lead specialty technical teams and align them to Thrive values.
- Schedule, interview, and assess specialty technicians.
- Build coverage schedules to minimize overtime and support 24/7 needs.
- Set clear medical, behavioral, and performance expectations.
- Oversee performance reviews and ensure consistency across departments.
- Manage training and provide technician resources for specialty areas.
- Oversee and coordinate inventory, equipment procurement, and maintenance.
- Support hospital operations and urgent department needs.
