Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare seeks a Veterinary Nursing Manager for our Palm Beach Gardens hospital. You will lead and mentor veterinary technicians and collaborate with veterinarians to deliver high-quality nursing care.

You’ll oversee scheduling, performance feedback, and maintain medical record integrity to support exceptional patient outcomes. The role requires CVT (preferred), emergency veterinary tech experience with leadership skills, and ability to manage a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• CVT preferred
• Minimum 3 years as emergency veterinary technician preferred
• Prior supervisory/management experience preferred
• Self-motivated with excellent people skills
• Strong leadership in judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution
• Detail oriented and organized with strong technical skills
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and phlebotomy experience
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Energetic team player with good communication
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate technicians on client education best practices
• Maximize productivity and positive patient flow across hospital functions
• Assist with surgeries and procedures per state act for credentialed technicians
• Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Membership options
• Help maintain comprehensive medical records with practice systems
• Maintain clean, sterile treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs; train nursing team accordingly
• Guide and mentor nursing staff; ensure department leadership collaboration
• Contribute to an exceptional patient and client experience through teamwork
