Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Charleston, SC is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. You will work under the supervision of a veterinarian, promote preventive care, and assist in clinical procedures to support high-quality pet care.

Ideal candidates hold VT certification/licensure (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT). AVMA-accredited program graduates are preferred. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT).
• Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and preventive care.
• Manage client flow to ensure excellent client service and team productivity.
• Provide professional, efficient service; educate clients about pet health; assist with procedures.
• Perform technician appointments under veterinarian supervision where permitted by state law.
• Assist clients with intake, documentation, and scheduling; dispense medications per vet instructions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and opening/closing procedures.
• Support veterinarian and team to maximize quality care and client satisfaction.
• Collect patient history and maintain complete medical records; ensure safety and cleanliness.

Education

Vet Tech certification/licensure (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT)

AVMA-accredited program degree preferred
