Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Charleston is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to support one or more Banfield hospitals in the Charleston area, including Citadel and James Island locations. A limited-time sign-on bonus is offered with pay ranging from $24.13 to $34.85 per hour, depending on experience and location.

You will work with a team of veterinary professionals to deliver preventive care, manage client interactions, and assist in surgeries as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT).
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.

Responsibilities

• Lead Veterinary Technician responsibilities as outlined by Banfield, including assisting veterinarians, client communication, and ensuring patient safety.
• Mentor paraprofessional staff and train new team members.
• Ensure accurate medical records and compliance with state laws and practice acts.
