Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) for full-time roles at one or more Banfield Pet Hospitals in Mt. Pleasant, SC. A limited-time sign-on bonus is offered.

Pay ranges from $24.13 to $34.85 per hour, with rate based on experience, skills, and location. The Lead LVT will work with veterinary professionals to provide preventive care and high-quality pet health services, while mentoring paraprofessional staff and ensuring compassionate

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
• Preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program
• Commitment beyond qualifications, passion for pets and preventive care

Responsibilities

• Recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and wellness plans.
• Manage flow of clients and pets to ensure excellent client care and productivity.
• Provide professional, efficient service, educate clients about pet health, and assist with procedures under veterinarian supervision.
• Perform veterinary technician appointments with supervision and in compliance with state law.
• Enter pet information, ensure proper identification, and maintain complete medical records.
• Dispense medications per veterinarian instructions and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Support doctor with surgeries as applicable and mentor new paraprofessional staff.
• Quality check medical records, medications, and hospital cleanliness to ensure timely care.
