Qualifications
- Certified Veterinary Technician credentials.
- Strong interest in surgery, anesthesia, and perioperative care.
- Experience preparing patients for surgical procedures.
- Confidence with anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technician for scheduled surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgery and pre-anesthetic assessments.
- Induce, maintain, and monitor anesthesia under veterinarian direction.
- Monitor anesthetic parameters and vitals; document accurately.
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures and recovery.
- Maintain surgical instruments and sterile technique.
- Ensure clean, stocked surgical areas and inventory.
