Job summary

External SA Recycling seeks a Ship Cutter Supervisor to lead daily vessel cutting and dismantling operations. You will assign crews, coordinate safe cutting and removal, train staff, and monitor production while upholding safety and environmental procedures.

You will plan work, schedule crews, and coordinate with crane teams and maintenance to ensure vessel stability and efficient progress; strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in ship cutting, shipbreaking, dismantling, demolition, or a comparable industrial operation.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of torch cutting and safe dismantling sequences.
• OSHA 10-Hour certification required.
• Ability to lead a crew and maintain accurate records.
• English and Spanish communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily work assignments for cutters and crew based on the dismantling plan.
• Schedule crew on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to match the plan.
• Coordinate cutting sequences with crane crews and other departments to maintain vessel stability.
• Monitor production, quality, staffing, and delays; report progress and seek improvements.
• Ensure safety procedures and environmental policies are followed at all times.
• Address unsafe conditions and document training and performance as required.
