Responsibilities

• Cut scrap metal to prescribed sizes using handheld torch.
• Inspect the cutting equipment (torch and hoses).
• Follow proper cutting procedures to prevent damage and injury.
• Assess scrap metal to choose the correct cutting method.
• Know safe cutting practices and required PPE and procedures.
• Ensure gas and oxygen filters are in safe condition.
• Inspect cut vessel sections before hot work and drain tanks.
• Adhere to safety requirements in scrap yard environments.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
