The Lead Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will be focused and specifically lead, direct, and train the Vehicle Acquisition Specialists teams to acquire additional inventory for the dealership by actively prospecting outside of the AutoNation Customer Network. The Lead Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will utilize all available prospecting resources to identify and engage private parties looking to vehicles. Resources include third-party websites, third-party lead sources, service drive traffic, and other means. The Lead Vehicle Acquisition Specialist will enjoy consistent interaction with Vehicle Acquisition Specialists on their team as well as customers throughout the day, both in person and over the phone.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Direct and Lead the Vehicle Acquisition Specialists through the WBYC BPMS Process
  2. Provide feedback in terms of hiring and performance management of all Vehicle Acquisition Specialists.
  3. Participate in coaching and mentoring of all Vehicle Acquisition Specialists
  4. Communicate and ensure goal achievement standards are met by associates and overall dealership performance.
  5. Engage in Vehicle Acquisition Specialists duties as necessary, leading by example.
  6. Review vehicle condition reports
  7. Determine wholesale and retail prices
  8. Inspect and accept vehicles arriving onsite
  9. Create and execute reconditioning plan to prepare vehicle for sale
  10. Using sound judgment, research, and excellent interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles and close sales
  11. Drive incremental business through a high level of engagement with customers.
  12. Turn prospective Vehicle Procurement Customers over to an “elite” sales team for a sales opportunity
  13. Work with management to identify and allocate current inventory needs.
Qualifications
  1. 3–4 years of dealership and/or team leadership experience preferred
  2. High School diploma or equivalent.
  3. Extremely self-motivated
  4. Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  5. Ability to drive an exceptional Customer experience.
  6. Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Organization and follow-up skills.
  8. Experience and desire to work with technology.
  9. Valid In-State Driver's License and an acceptable, safe driving record
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.

This position pays minimum wage + commission (approx $2-4k/month)
